Portsmouth’s Biggest Event Returns: Victorious 2026

There are few better ways to spend an August bank holiday than on the Southsea seafront with a cold drink and a world-class lineup. Victorious Festival, now in its 13th year, returns to Southsea Common from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th August 2026 and if the billing is anything to go by, it’s shaping up to be one of its strongest editions yet.

Described as the UK’s biggest metropolitan festival, Victorious has built a well-earned reputation for delivering blockbuster lineups in one of the most beautifully located festival settings in the country. With the Solent as a backdrop and Portsmouth’s historic seafront as its stage, the atmosphere alone is worth the ticket price, but the 2026 lineup gives you plenty more to get excited about.

Headliners across the three days read like a greatest hits of British and international rock and indie. Richard Ashcroft tops the bill on Friday, The Black Keys take Saturday, and Kasabian close out the weekend on Sunday. Three very different acts, three very different nights, and all three are perfectly suited to the open-air, communal energy that Victorious does so well.

Beyond the headline slots, the supporting cast is equally impressive. Afternoon special guests include Rudimental, Dizzee Rascal and Sigrid, while the wider lineup features Faithless, Scissor Sisters, Nile Rodgers & Chic, The Streets, Basement Jaxx, Bastille, Jessie J, Primal Scream, Happy Mondays, The Vaccines, James Arthur, Kelis, Doves, Kate Nash and Hard-Fi among many others. There is something for virtually everyone across the weekend, spanning indie rock, dance, soul, pop and beyond.

Away from the main stages, the Bandstand Stage offers some of the finest festival views in the country, top DJs take over Southsea Castle, rebranded Henry’s House for the weekend, and new for 2026, the Little Johnny Russells pop-up adds yet another dimension to an already packed programme. An enormous free kids arena, bustling markets, real ale and real food complete the picture, making Victorious one of the most genuinely family-friendly events on the UK festival calendar.
